Dance Programs

If you’re new to our dance community this is a great place to start finding out about the various disciplines featured at our Coaldale and Taber studios, Dance Images.

At the Dance Images studio, we teach many different styles of dance classes to varying age groups and experience levels. We offer both competitive and recreational dance classes, plus Summer Programs. Students can take dance classes in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, acro, hip hop, musical theatre, and more..

Competitive Dance Program

We travel and dance in 3 Festivals each year in April-May. Two are out of town within Southern Alberta and one is in Lethbridge. All dancers have the opportunity to do extra Festival pieces besides their group dances (ex. Solos, Duos and Trios), in whichever genre they would like!

Our elite program’s dancers are required  to take at least 2 Ballet classes per week to insure technique is being maintained.  The number of classes can range from 2-12 classes per week for each dancer. As well as a few extra rehearsals on weekends as we get closer to Festival!

The dancers will be placed by ability and age.

 Students and Parents

Students and parents must realize that dancers participating in this program must be willing to make a commitment to their group and attendance is of vital importance. Other commitments such as costuming and grooming are to be expected. Students who do not adhere to this agreement may be asked to step down from a performance. As the focus in this program is performance, students will be expected to attend extra rehearsals from time to time. Also some competitions and performances may fall during school hours.

Recreational Dance Program

The recreational youth programs at Dance Images  include classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, and musical theatre.  All dancers will get a chance to perform at the studio’s Year-End Show! We encourage dancers in the recreational youth program to be dedicated and work just as hard as our competitive students.

All the dancers and parents are team players and work together for the success of the entire studio!
